Plain Media’s digital publishing department creates content covering a variety of topics across several spheres of interest for a worldwide audience.
Overseen by our digital content strategists and content production teams, Plain Media publishes a high volume of daily YouTube videos, blog posts and Social Media content across multiple brands, each with their own unique voice and personality.
Sharing is caring, which is why we target as diverse an audience as possible, and translate the large majority of our content into 5 or more languages to serve as many viewers as we can.
We are content strategists, researchers, writers, translators, voice actors, video editors, animators, illustrators and web designers working day-in and day-out with a single goal in mind: to inform, entertain and engage a greater audience than we did yesterday.

Our Open Positions

Copywriter
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- You are a maker! Your main focus is ideation and creation, both at a high speed and volume
- Collaborate with creative, client services, and strategy departments to develop a high variety of content that meets creative and strategic criteria (client briefs, feedback, client KPIs)
- Strong skill set in conceptualizing, brainstorming, and collaborating to create the strongest ideas
- Write and create impactful social and traditional media content that reflects brand’s voice and adheres to the brand’s style guidelines
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines
- Gather learnings and insights from platforms, consumer feedback and culture to make concise, relevant recommendations.
- Present copy concepts rooted in strategic thinking to creative leaders
- Collaborate with an Art Director to successfully plan pre production through post production, including organizing the shoot, directing content, etc.
Experience / Knowledge Required:
- 1 to 3 years of experience copywriting, developing, and creating for digital/social. Bachelor’s degree a plus
- Ability to proofread and self-edit copy to produce error-free content that adheres to brand’s style guidelines
- Strong skill set in conceptualizing, brainstorming, writing, and collaboration to create strategically focused campaigns
- The ability to understand, absorb, and execute on directions constructive criticism
- A strong aptitude for time management, organization, and communication
- Strong skill set for storytelling, a mastery of grammar and the English language, and the ability to tailor your writing to tell that story on a variety of platforms for multiple brands
- The ability to effectively collaborate with various teams, providing the most useful guidance in an enthusiastic and inspiring manner
Video Editor - Content Creator
Here’s where you come in.
- Passion for making creative content on a spectrum of media platforms – social, streaming, AR, music, film, interactive, etc.
- Extraordinary motion design and editing skills.
- Actual videography or design education OR the equivalent professional experience.
- Familiar with working with almost every content creation format out there: Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite & design templates in Canva or Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, TikTok, Instagram, FB Live, etc.!
- Responsible, accountable, cool and always kind because you love the magic of collaboration
Here’s the Gig —
- Master the ability to turn any branded content into a volume of social gold (clips, gifs, graphics, photos, stories, copy, etc.)
- Work with a wide range and quality of video and static imagery – from a collection of photography to short video clips
- Collaborate with our creative and strategy teams, including our Founder & CCO, to create and manipulate video, a plethora of photography, social copy, gifs, short clips, streaming stories, etc.
- Hone your design and, editing skills utilizing standard industry software and social platforms
- Wrangle and roll with your teammates on rapid-fire requests and seriously tight timelines while keeping a chill, proactive attitude.
2D Animator
Key duties will include some of the following:
- preparing 2D artwork for projects
- creating 2D artwork for animation amends based on client feedback
- reviewing animations
- working with our Junior and Lead animator on a regular basis
Essential Requirements:
- Speak fluent English (both spoken and written)
- Good communication skills to enable you to work take direction from our animators and project managers
- 3 years’ + of animation experience
- Degree in animation or a relevant area
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Be able to work to strict deadlines
- Have a positive attitude to client feedback
